In 2005 I worked with Redken to develop and launch redkencolor.com. My primary responsibility was site design and content.
We won two Webbys: an “official” Webby for beauty, and the People’s Choice Award. I was especially proud of the People’s Choice award—for a beauty brand to win was unusual, and we’d worked hard to make a site accessible to consumers. Redken Color is only available in salons, so bridging the information gap helped define an audience for Redken they hadn’t previously been reaching for color.
Redkencolor.com was folded into redken.com in 2010, but my copy and style guide are still in use across the site.
