A project with Katie Couric Media intended to capture the story of people living with cancer during the pandemic for a series sponsored by Merck. These videos were conceived, written, and recorded during lockdown.
I worked with the women we profiled, Sarah Sanders and Kim Bardes, to find visual assets, record home video over Zoom, and prepare questions for Katie. Then I storyboarded and scripted each piece for the brilliant animator and editor Leese Katsnelson. Both Kim and Sarah were going through very intense, scary experiences, and I am forever grateful to them for sharing their stories.
This series won three platinum Hermes Creative Awards, for medical health video, web video, and video creativity/editing. It also won four Communicator Awards, a Healthcare Advertising Award, and a gold Communicator Award.
